Unless weather comes in between now and the race it is still on. Most of the rain has bypassed the track and they are locked and loaded.

SMALL cell of rain coming through right now. Going to be close if it catches track or not.

One small cell was all that was needed to cancel another week of racing.

You mean like I did??!! What a joke. My shirt never got wet and any pavement nearby was bone dry. That race was canceled days ago without us knowing, despite pimping it today twice on Facebook to pretend to get it in. Thank God most other series don’t operate this way. From the time I arrived there was never any indication that this race would be run despite the recent false posts.

We are so much over the amount of rain we usually have this time of year that i was concerned that if a dog walked by and hiked his leg it would be enough to cancel. We are something like 8 inches over our average rain fall so far this year. Record flooding all up and down the mississippi.

The issue at Riverside when it comes to even a sprinkle is the entire parking lot. It turns into a marsh very quickly and I've seen many a car and truck that has went axle deep trying to get out of there. Fortunately there are some really fine folks over there and you can always find someone to help you out. You really don't have to find anyone. They see you and your situation and they come a'runnin'!!!!!!!!

Yup, and somehow you managed to miss the context of my post.

The sprinkle never changed anything. The race was never going to run, they should have cancelled much earlier. Ask anyone that was there, it never had the feel that it would. The only team that was there at 3:45 was Craig Kinser, and they parked on broadway and never attempted to enter the property.

You mean all the work that was put into the track was done for nothing. You mean the rain that came thru last night would have dried the track. Maybe you need to find another hobby that isn't controlled by the weather because racing is weather dependent.

A decision to Water the Track at 12:30p.m. is the Reason the Race was "Rained" out!!!

I mean exactly what I said, we were all disgusted with the backwards way it was handled, not the fact that it rained. Monday AM quarterbacking last nights weather after the fact had nothing to do with most people's gripe. To take a page out of your book, you wouldn't be of that opinion if you were actually there, it was a very weird feel. You must have been on Midge's couch.
