Bryant Marsh Continues Late-Season Momentum in Southern 100
Preps for Season Finale at the Possum Town Grand Prix

Corinth, Mississippi (11/08/18 ) – Bryant Marsh continued his late-season momentum over the weekend in his Modern Woodmen #1 XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine Late Model. The 18-year-old Mississippi racer recorded a Top-5 finish in the annual Southern 100 at Southern Raceway.

“We were fast at Talladega Short Track a few weeks ago in national tour action, and then we backed it up with a good run at Southern Raceway this past weekend,” Marsh said. “Honestly, we finally have a Top-3 car again, and with a little more work and tweaking there’s no reason to think that we won’t have a winning car. It’s taken a little time to adapt to this new XR1 Rocket Chassis, but I’m getting comfortable in the driver’s seat. Thanks to everyone who helps me at the track and who sponsors my program.”

Bryant Marsh was one of 26 competitors registered at Southern Raceway (Milton, Florida) on Friday evening for the Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned, Southern 100.

After laying down the fourth-fastest time in his group, Marsh posted a third-place finish in his heat race, which locked him into the ninth-starting position for Saturday’s $10,000-to-win A-Main.

Breaking into the Top-5, Bryant gained four spots in the 100-lapper to finish fifth behind Jake Knowles, Andy Picklesimer, Joseph Joyner, and Clint Smith.

Bryant sits fifth in the latest series point standings and second in the Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year chase. For full results from this event, please visit www.DurrenceLayneRacing.com .

The team now will prepare for the final Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series event of the season, which will be held on November 23-24 at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). The annual Possum Town Grand Prix will post a $10,000 winner’s check.
