CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 19 of the 27-week 2018 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season saw two of the four Divisions end the weekend’s competition with new point leaders, and one driver now has a perfect season with a best 14-week total of 700 points.

The complete Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 19 results for each track are listed below, and the complete point standings for each of the four Divisions have been posted at www.durrencelayneracing.com. That takes you to the Launch Page where you can click on the Divisions you’re looking for.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS still leads the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division standings with a best 14-week total of 694 points. There were no 50-points wins with fields of eight or more cars in Week 19 competition for Scarbrough. Therefore, there were no points for Scarbrough, as he failed to net on a 49.

Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS is second in the Late Model standings and took his seventh win of the season on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to net on a 43 and bring his best 14-week total to 685 points. Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS and the 2012 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Chase Washington of Houlka, MS are tied for third with 675 points.

With eight weeks left in the 2018 season, Idom has earned all of the points he can, and will now work on his win total in case of a tie.
