Billy Moyer Jr. Cashes in at Brownstown Speedway with $10,000 Romp
Illinois’ Tripleheader Weekend Up Next

Batesville, Arkansas (08/07/18 ) – Billy Moyer Jr. wired the field on Saturday night at Brownstown Speedway to pick up the $10,000 winner’s check in his Crop Production Services #21jr Longhorn Race Car/ Pro Power Racing Engines Super Late Model.

“Words can’t describe how much this team needed this big win,” Moyer Jr. relayed. “We’ve just been struggling to find speed the past few months, but we were good at Bloomington Speedway on Friday night, and then we were real good tonight here at Brownstown Speedway. It’s pretty cool to get this win, and I think it’s just the shot in the arm that we needed.”

On Friday evening Billy Moyer Jr. made the trip to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) to do battle in the MARS Racing Series-sanctioned Hoosier State Hall of Fame weekend.

In a field of 22 Super Late Models, Moyer Jr. locked his spot into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Nick Hoffman. Gaining one spot in the 40-lap feature, Billy scored a fourth-place finish behind Kent Robinson, Tanner English, and Michael Kloos with Nick Hoffman rounding out the Top 5.

Saturday night brought 27 MARS Racing Series entries to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the Hall of Fame Classic. Billy started his night by laying down the fastest time in qualifying, and then streaked to a heat race victory, which positioning him the pole for the A-Main. Leading flag-to-flag in the finale, Billy topped Tanner English, Kent Robinson, Michael Kloos, and Michael Chilton at the line, capturing his third win of the season and a $10,000 payday.

The weekend is tentatively slated to draw to a close on Sunday evening at Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, Illinois) with a $5,000-to-win slate.
