I heard a rumor that they will run their 69th straight season in 2018.

Just guessing here, but I'm pretty sure Curtis meant that as a joke....

And what about rules? We saw where they were talking about doing away with modifieds, then about going imca, then about not doing anything to them. So what was the final decision? Will this mean room to bring in a new class? Are the late models going nesmith sanction like was rumored about earlier in the year or does the limited motor still have its place? Will the stock cars start allowing Bert’s and brinns to become more like the nesmith stock cars or become more like hobby stocks of the past? Do we get to have a normal season of 360’s this year or do they get squeezed further and further out like we’ve seen happen ever since the 305s got wings? Will the WoO really make their appearance or eventually get cancelled? Find out in the next episode of riverside’s spills and chills

From their Facebook page 4 hours ago.

Riverside International Speedway West Memphis, AR
4 hrs ·

Announcement: The 2018 Riverside Speedway rules for all classes have been posted. All class rules except the 305 wing sprint are not changed from 2017. Changes to the 305 rules are: Reference to ASCS 2 engine has been eliminated. The specifications for the steel head RIS/MSCA engine have been amended to allow specific Dart 305 block. The RaceSaver legal sealed engine is still allowed. Be sure to review carefully and let Tommy Mullins know at 901 619-6335 should there be any questions.

So they basically stirred the classes up just to not make any changes at all.

Any implication at all that Clayton Allen and RIS management are not constantly and totally wrapped up in concerns for the fans is ridiculous. While there may always be naysayers and forever complainers you can bet your last dollar that Clayton Allen and the RIS management team are constantly attempting to increase their participations from the fans and the cars. If you know of any reasons why they would not be doing that please share them with us. Otherwise just admit that you're only an idiot and nothing more. Considering the decreasing participations of fans and cars of the last decade or so and topped off with complaints and complete false accusations of forever disgruntled posters on this board and others I am befuddled. WTF are you looking for and why are you trying to destroy the sport that you are claiming to support? Idiots.

Or maybe Psycho could give a list of things that he knows for a fact are being done by Mr. Allen to benefit the fans and racers?

Car counts are not a major problem at present time. Am concerned with the decision of MSCA to allow the DART block. Sounds like they are allowing cost to get a little out of control with this move. $1,200-$1,700 for a block could the first step in cost skyrocketing. A lot of 305 blocks out there and the machine work cost should keep the price much lower than the cost of a DART block.

If there is any problem is with the dwindling fan base. And the ole open the doors and they will come is not going to work as it did 30-40 years ago.. Car shows that are attended only by current fans at locations attended by current fans are not working. Have got to reach out to those who are not current fans.

As i stated in the past before i retired i met at least one person every month or so that would say "is that place still open? I went there as a kid" RIS has been around 68 years and the majority of people in the metro area either do not know it exist or do not know it is still open.

Its one of the best kept secrets You are Midget Psycho is all wrong on most of his post . Like another post said talk to the drivers but no one listen to them and they are not being un reasonable for the most part from I am hearing
