Kilgore, TX (7/17/17) by DarinShort.com. THIS SATURDAY July 22nd, is the $18,000+ "For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving" night at LoneStar Speedway, featuring one of the biggest points nights of the season at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) with over $18,000 in cash being paid out to race teams, and without any driver Entry Fees!

Trisha and Robert Taylor have stepped up to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, and also helping to increase the competitor purse in the LSS points divisions for this special night of racing. LoneStar Speedway has matched those increases, creating a doubling effect.

On April 26, 2010 Trisha and Robert Taylor received the call that forever changed their lives, as their daughter Alex had been in an accident and was being taken by air flight to East Texas Medical Center, and would not survive her injuries. The accident was attributed to texting and driving.

Robert is veteran LoneStar Speedway driver, along with his wife Trisha, continue to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, at their Facebook page titled For the Love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving.

Click www.facebook.com/ForTheLoveOfAlexStopTextingAndDriving to ‘like’ the page and learn more about their awareness efforts.

If you, or your business, are interested in being a part of this special awareness event, send an email to Racemanrt90@gmail.com and Trisha Taylor will get back in touch with you with more information.

Each division winner will also receive and oversized check from the Taylor's, and a 12" commemorative plaque from LSS.

THANK YOU to the following event sponsors for stepping up to help make this event as large as it is: Tyler Weathermakers Inc., Taylor Drywall, Section 8 Racing, Dunn Transmissions, Whataburger/Simpson Racing, Bill Cooper, Jayson Chandler Homes, Uncle Sam's Fireworks, Landmark Homes, DAY Motorsports, SETEC, Drywall Blues, Liquid Print, Mark Tatum, TMRC - Taylor Made Race Cars, Jalapeño Tree; and we would also like to thank Jim Hitz of All Points Systems Wholesale Copiers - Marshall, TX (phone 318-465-5075) for adding $500 to the total event purse. Jim races at LSS regularly.
