First class to the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame has been announced and as expected it is mostly stick and ball sports except for a couple of businessmen and newspaper people. And a fisherman.

We knew it was an uphill battle to get our sport recognized. Even those who have a massive influence on the entire Memphis community outside of their contribution in sports.

While there is no absolute proof the circumstantial evidence is very strong that the vote was stacked.

The committee was made up of Memphis area "experts" chosen by the Memphis Sports Council a division of Memphis Tourism.

A quick look at their website showed some interesting information. They listed the "Sports Facilities" in the area. Among that list were Millington baseball stadium and Snowden Grove Park in Southaven.

Yet it left out Riverside Speedway which is the oldest professional sports facility in the Metro Memphis area.

THEY LIST FREAKING DISC GOLF, FENCING and PRO WRESTLING

SPORT FACILITY

Archery Agricenter International, Shelby Farms Park

**Proof of no representative for motorsports at this agency. MIR is owned by PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway) which also happens to own the IHRA. So MIR and PBIR are both IHRA tracks. If this organization had anyone on the committee with any knowledge of motorsports they would have caught this.
