i am very disappointed at the track for not properly watering the track before the race. the dust was horrible. the worst i have ever seen at any track. why did they not at least make a pass or two with the water truck down low in turns 3 and four when they saw how bad it was going to get?
there will surely be some fans that will not return after last night. what makes matters worse the stands are on the wrong side of the track because any breeze usually is blowing from the track towards the stands. a serious flaw in an otherwise fine track's design.

The track conditions were awful and what's worse than that is the c66 in 2 barrel was tore down and the track weighed the crank on some bathroom scales. Came up 1lb light and they wouldn't recheck it. What a joke.

they have been lucky enough so far to have mother nature help with the track prep. These people have no idea how to run a track. and yes, the stands are on the wrong side of the track. Pits are set up for 20 years ago for a pickup, and small trailer. The protesting/tech, is ridiculous at best. all the 66 has to do is call, and moan a little, and he will be quietly refunded and asked to return like the last 2.

yes the 18 was disqualified for shocks we brought a different car over because our crate car has took a beating from the rough race tracks so we didn't check the rules before we left with since they were going to let us run the same last year when it got rained so with that being said here is my thing the rule stats that run can run oil or gas adjustable shocks no canisters well I would like to know what is difference between the gas adjustable shocks and the ones with canisters cause there is no difference!! This rule was put in place a long time ago for the ones that race late models in this class to keep the cost down well thats far gone and the gas shocks w/o the canisters the good ones cost around $700 a piece and there are a bunch out there so here's my thing we took a $2000 dollar motor bought 2 yrs ago and 700 home made car and won with it and got it taken away

Yep, I am not sure the bottom of 3 & 4 have been watered since the last rain, LOL! It wasn't the worst dust I have ever seen but it sure wasn't watered enough.

Their flagman is a joke and needs to be pulled off and sat in the stands. Its bad that they have done so much but will get no where with how things are. Told the fellas last night if would be a dust bowl because it hasn't rained and the guy who does the watering and track prep done it for the last few renters and was no good then. Far as tech man goes.. well let's just say all you have to be is his friend and you can do anything!!

protesting and disqualifing of cars will only hurt the track. they could have warned him and told him to change shocks if he comes back. as far as pulling the crank and weighing it on bathroom scales is ridiculous. that only serves to harass the driver and make him wonder if it is worth coming back.
i raced there in the 90's and was never successfully protested. although i was disqualified once for being 6 pounds too light. if i got outran i just went home and worked on my setup a little harder and drove harder the next week. i knew i was winning with less power than others in my class. i never had a high dollar engine but i wan a lot of races.
the rule book has been re rewritten now to make sure that a car like i ran can not run in the mini stock division to make sure the winner will be a ford.
