How many drivers would we get if half the races are on g60 and half on big tires this is because of the tracks we are looking at

First off, I would like to thank Hiers Construction for sponsoring our series. Hiers construction will be the title sponsor for 2013. We are also working with other sponsors to really make this something special next year.

Now to the tire issue. Two of the tracks that we want to be part of this series runs big tires. We have talked to both tracks, and they want to support us, but do not want to run G60's only. So we are looking at a option to propose to both tracks and the drivers.

Run the track rules in place for tires. But, give a 100 lb weight break, 10 bonus points for all cars on G60's, and extra cash to the top finisher on G60's. (10 pts will be a least two positions in pts)

When we run the tracks with small tire rules, it will be G60's only.

Once again, to make this happen, there has to be a demand for this series. Let your track owners know you want to see our series at your local track next year.

Question about tracks in Alabama. We are trying to keep this as a regional series and the mileage down for drivers to travel. That being said, there are a few tracks in South Alabama that might work. Who knows.

We would like to run all tracks in Ms. I can tell you we have talked to Hattisburg, Pike, and Jackson. We are looking at a few more.

Once again, finding a rule package to fit all tracks will be difficult. I think it would be hard to crown a Ms State champion if we do not have cars from each track in Ms. This is a huge task that we are willing to take on.

By the way, Which track has the best Street Stocks/Super Streets in Ms????????

Hope to see some more northern ms tracks in this series....greenville-corinth-whynot-bullring-magnolia......with that beeing said our team races out of southern tn but would definitely be interested in this series if all races where not southern ms. We have been to pike-jackson-the old cms track-greenville so traveling is not going to hold us up alot just would be nice.....hope the rules get out before winter for next years planning.....

We like running the g60 tires and they even up some motor rule differences on some tracks. What are the big tires that are run at the other tracks? Seen some one put rc4 tires are those like the rc0-rc1-rc3 tires i have run those before? Personally i would like to see a 362ci rule, stock block,gm head rule,500 holly and a weght and tire rule

This is really cool news as MS. has a load of good SS teams. Hope you all find a common ground as there will be folks saying they can't run it for this reason or that, but teams should come together as one and work it out cuz this thing could get big real fast if it's done right, run tight.

Picture a end of year shootout with this series at whatever track with all the big boys of the division present ruuning for a nice check.

This is something that could blow up big time in a very good way, best of luck in the future.

If I remember correctly Rocky DeGrury and Jeremy Idom have both won at Hattiesburg motorsports park in the street stock class with G60's against full fields of EC1 (big tires).

these are the tire and wheel rules for hattiesburg motorsports park for street stock and best to my reading they DO allow any tire to run so maybe the problem is with other tracks that DON'T allow EC1 or big tires to run.. Razz

2011 street stock rules

WHEELS AND TIRES:

OPTION # 1
1. Maximum overall tire width 17 1\2" at the tire cross section or widest point. Maximum circumference 92". Tires must pass through hoop. Same as late model.
2. Maximum wheel width 14".
3. Steel or aluminum wheels permitted.
4. No tire softening chemicals allowed.
5. Hoosier 55 or American Racer 56. Numbers must be on tires. Tires must punch 60 or harder.

OPTION # 2
1. EC1 or EC2 McCreary tires on 12" wheels.
2. 11" Towel City recap tires optional on 10" wheels.
3. Large racing lugnuts and reinforced center on wheels recommended.
4. Bead locks wheels allowed.

OPTION # 3
1. 8" wheels with DOT street tires or G-60 MODIFIED TIRES, NO MUD GRIPS.

You can add James Woods when he was in the 25k and Mike Ladner in the 33c have won on G60's out there too
